PreSchool Summer Reading
Our preschool summer reading program will be on Wednesdays from 10:00 - 10:30.
Your child must be registered to attend.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Summer Reading
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Summer Reading classes will be on Wednesdays from 1:00 - 2:00.
All children must be registered to attend.
2nd - 4th Grade Summer Reading
2nd - 4th Grade Summer Reading Classes will be held on Thursdays, from 1:00 - 2:00.
Children must be registered to attend.
Summer Reading Goals
Children in preschool through 1st grade should read, or be read to, for at least 15 minutes per day for 40 days for a total of 600 minutes (or 10 hours).
Children in 2nd through 4th grades should read for at least 20 minutes per day for 50 days for a total of 1000 minutes (or 16.75 hours).
To qualify for a pool party, during the day on July 31st, the goal must be met and you must attend class on a regular basis. Completed reading logs are due to the library by Thursday, July 27th.
5th & 6th Grade Students – There is a reading scavenger hunt for you! Read in all these different places and return your scavenger hunt paper in by July 27th to earn entrance to the pool party on July 31st.
